Our Family: A new belly button!

Halena is very excited now that Neala's belly button looks like hers. She always enjoys playing with her belly button and now there is another one that she can poke at. She was sure to keep her distance when Neala's belly button was in the process of falling off, but now she cannot get enough. She likes to point at it and poke her finger in it. She is getting an awful lot of laughs out of it. Neala is a good sport at this time, not minding at all, but I am sure there will be a time when that all changes.

Grandpa H and Doris came for a visit to meet Neala and see Halena. We had fun reading books, playing outside, and shopping for a new pack. We got a new pack for hiking so we have one for each of the girls now. We could not wait to head to a hiking trail, so we tried it out for a walk in the neighborhood. Halena loved it! Especially tickling Daddy by playing with his hair and ears. When Neala gets a little bigger we will take them out for our first big hike, the FOUR of us (I still cannot believe how quickly our family has grown! It is such an amazing experience.).

Halena has decided that she does not like to eat things cut up any more. She wants them just like Mommy and Daddy eat them. No more pieces of apple, cut up burgers, or cut up quesadillas. Here she is enjoying her first full apple. Well really it started as Daddy's apple, but she stole it.

We have been spending a lot of time just enjoying the little moments with each other. From relaxing to playing to cuddling next to each other. Here are a few pictures to enjoy.
